Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive Delhi

Arrival at Delhi International Airport. Clear immigration and visa formalities, collect your baggage and Lotus India Holidays representative will meet you with a placard. Transfer to hotel and check-in. Overnight. (No Meals)

Day 2

Delhi

After breakfast full day city tour of Delhi, tour starts with Old Delhi drive past of Red Fort. Visit the Jama Masjid – the largest mosque in India. Later take a Rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk. Afternoon visit New Delhi, which will include photo stop at Parliament HouseIndia Gate, and Rashtrapati Bhavan. Visit Humayun’s Tomb, one of the best examples of a Mughal Garden Tomb.  Later visit Qutub Minar, the tallest brick minaret. Overnight. (Breakfast)

Day 3

Delhi – Jaipur

Travel to Jaipur, the first planned city of India. On arrival check in at hotel. Rest of the evening explore world-famous jewellery bazaars. Overnight.

Day 4

Jaipur

After breakfast visit Amber Fort, en route photo stop at Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace). Later visit the City Palace Museum; which boasts to have some of the priceless handwritten Hindu scriptures, miniature delicate paintings, the elephant saddles (howdah). Conclude your day with visit to Jantar Mantar; one of the famed observatories.

Day 5

Jaipur – Agra

Travel to Agra, home to India’s most famous landmark, the Taj Mahal. En route visit the fortified ghost city, Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri was built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar to honor Saint Salim Chisti. On arrival check in at hotel. Overnight. (Breakfast)

Day 6

Agra

Early morning visit to Taj Mahal (Closed on Friday). Later visit to Agra Fort, built by Emperor Akbar, which is a mixture of the Islamic and Hindu styles of architecture. Also, visit Itmad-ud-Daula Tomb; nicknamed as Baby Taj. Overnight. (Breakfast)

Day 7

Agra – Khajuraho

Transfer to railway station to board train to Jhansi. On arrival at Jhansi railway station, travel to Khajuraho. En route visit Orchha temples, which has a rich history and introduce you to one the noble kingdoms who lived for his people. On arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight. (Breakfast)

Day 8

Khajuraho – Varanasi

This morning explore the Chandella temples which are an excellent example of Indo-Aryan architecture and famed for their erotic sculptures. Afternoon transfer to airport to connect flight to Varanasi. On arrival check in at hotel. Later in the evening witness grand prayer ceremony on the ghats of river Ganges with boat ride. Overnight. (Breakfast)

Day 9

Varanasi

Early morning sunrise boat ride on river Ganges. After breakfast, proceed for a morning city tour of Varanasi visiting various temples. Day 10

Depart Varanasi

After breakfast transfer to airport to take your flight to onward destination.
